CLÉMENT FRIEDRICH
Clément Friedrich was born in Burgundy, France. He studied cinema in Nantes and Paris. In 2017, after a gap year in Chicago, he wrote a master’s thesis in aesthetics on the representation of violence, color and body. Theses themes feed his own artistic practice.
He directed several short films, including Poison Tree in 2016 and Phantom in 2018. He is currently working on a new film, a rewriting of Homer’s The Iliad produced by Melodrama.
A. Hitchcock, S. Suzuki, J.-L. Godard & J. Carpenter inspired me.
